8th Barrie Cubs

The cubs will be doing exciting things like visiting the Fire station, Police station and many more. Family events – Observatory, Christmas party, Kub Kar races and Tubing.

We will be meeting every Monday night. When we meet at Emma King we expect the cubs to be at the school for 7:00 pm so our meeting can start at 7:15 pm sharp and pick up is 8:30pm. When we are not in the school we will let the cubs and the parents know the time and location and also send it out in an e-mail. Our first meeting will be at Emma King. The Leaders will update you on up coming events.

Each Cub is responsible to make sure they are in full uniform (new or old). Full uniform includes a Cub Scout shirt, belt , necker and pants (no jeans or track pants). New Cubs will be given a necker at investiture.

Fundraising is very important as it helps off set costs for weekly outings and camps. The leaders are looking for parents to step up and help organize them for us. Our first group fundraiser is Apple Day and it will be the weekend of October 13, 14, and 15.

We will be collecting $1 dues from our Cubs every week to help pay for badges and crafts. We do this to help the Cubs learn responsibility. Please ensure your Cub brings their dues each week.

Cub families are invited to Investiture on October 17 at Emma King School. Investiture is when our new cubs (tenderpads) will be invested into 8^th Barrie Cubs. The tenderpads must learn their motto, promise and law and say it that night.
